Business Overview: The Folks is a F&B company yet to be registered, however operational with the brand name The Chicken Folks, but soon to be renamed in to "The Folks" focused on high-quality, hygienically prepared chicken-based veg & non veg offerings using proprietary, in-house recipes. We launched this as a home-based cloud kitchen in Gurugram and later scaled to a commercial cloud kitchen in DLF Phase 4. After achieving early traction and validating product-market fit, operations have been intentionally paused. This decision was taken after recognizing that a cloud-kitchen-only model is not sustainably profitable without a supporting offline or hybrid presence. The brand is currently in a strategic pause phase, with plans to relaunch under a more scalable and margin-resilient model. Target Market: TCF targets urban youth and working professionals who seek snackable, indulgent, chicken-centric food options. The initial operating market was Gurugram, with future focus on Delhi NCR and select Tier 2 cities post relaunch. Market Position & Competitive Landscape During active operations, TCF competed with established QSR and cloud-first brands such as KFC, Louis Burgers, Danny’s Fried Chicken, Burgrill, and Burgerama. Despite limited scale, TCF differentiated itself through: Fresh, in-house curated recipes. Strong hygiene and preparation standards. High customer satisfaction and repeat usage The pause was strategic, not performance-driven, based on structural limitations of aggregator-led cloud kitchens.
