TRIBA TEXTILES & INDUSTRIES PRIVATE LIMITED
East Singhbhum, Jharkhand
In their own words
Menstruation is still regarded as something unclean or dirty in Indian society. Although menstruation is a normal physiological process, there are several myths and misconceptions and practices around it, which most often result in adverse health outcomes. Our startup will be focusing on creating an impact on lives of rural and semi urban women and girls who have no other option other than using unhygienic menstrual products during their menstruation cycle as due to low income and poverty they fail to afford sanitary napkins .This further inculcates sense of inferiority and declines their confidence in mobility attending schools, doing even daily household chores and participation . Our startup will not only would be responsive to meet the need of low cost sanitary napkin demand of the poor and marginalized community’s women & girls but also would set-up and run a business model that would further support in engaging some of the girls and women for their employability and empowering them. Since, without availing effective alternatives to the girls and women on menstruation, they will not be motivated and changed towards new behavioural practices.
