Trisamya Wellness LLP, (TRISAMYA), a technology driven startup company based in New Delhi, is engaged in research and development of innovative preventive/ supportive care treatment for lifestyle disorders. Trisamya has developed an innovative and non-invasive ‘photo-biomodulation (PBM) therapy’, utilizing photo-energy which acts through modulation of the immune system, as required for a given health condition. While in some clinical conditions the immune system would need to be boosted, in other situations it may require to be controlled or down-regulated. PBM therapy is the only approach which can be used in any conditions by simply changing the frequency of photo-energy and applying a complimentary formulation. TRISAMYA has incorporated an independent entity, Trisamya Wellness LLP, in India, and is in the process of setting up ‘Trisamya Wellness Center’ for chronic pain management in Gurgaon, NCR, and plans to use it as a startup center to establish a full-service flagship in New Delhi / Mumbai, which besides offering services to clients, will also serve for technology demonstration and as training center for future business expansions through franchisee model. This center will be offering a wide range of photo-immunotherapy and photo-regeneration treatments under the following wellness categories: 1) Skin-rejuvenation / anti-ageing therapy 2) Pain management 3) Cancer Wellness Trisamya is now looking for strategic partners / investors for setting up the flagship center in New Delhi / Mumbai. Trisamya also plans to manufacture of Photo-Device in India, under ‘Make in India’ initiative; Trisamya and French manufacturer of the device, have signed a MOU for setting up a manufacturing facility in India. Trisamya has an exclusive right to market the ‘Photo-Device’ under its brand name, in India, Southeast Asia and Middle East countries. THE SCIENCE BEHIND TRISAMYA PBM TECHNOLOGY:: Trisamya PBM technology is based on the concept that Sun is the source of almost all energy that sustains Life on Earth and that our body needs sunlight for optimal health. Humans are adapted to sunlight as a complex stimulus that, at the appropriate dosage, helps keep our biological systems running. Modern scientific research has established that the exposure to sunlight induces synthesis of Vitamin-D, which in turn enhances the immunity against the disease-causing agents. However, Vitamin-D production is only a small portion of the overall beneficial effects of the light spectrum; the visible range of sunlight includes wavelengths from 380 – 740 nm which influence the biological activity in significant ways. Direct exposure to sunlight may however have limited benefits, since the human skin, unlike plants, does not have light-harvesting molecules to absorb and effectively utilize the photo-energy; overexposure to sunlight may rather have the damaging effects. Trisamya has developed unique formulations, comprising of exclusively natural ingredients, which applied over skin, act as an interface that absorbs specific wavelength of light and transfers the photo-energy to specific cellular components of the skin. The photo-energy in turn induce cellular differentiation/ activation or modulate their biological functions. Trisamya PBM therapy thus offers selective use of the specific wavelengths of photo-energy for wide ranging rejuvenation and wellness applications. TRISAMYA PBM THERAPY: Trisamya’s PBM therapy includes the following steps: 1) topical application of Trisamya formulations (facial / whole body), 2) exposure to specific frequency (visible range) of photo-energy using a ‘photo-energy device’, 3) daily intake of ‘photo-nutritional’ supplement, developed by Trisamya, that act synergistically and enhance the efficacy of photo-immunotherapy. This treatment is required to be given once or twice a week, for 6-8 weeks. As per specific immunological requirement, the Trisamya PBM therapy provides specific treatment protocols for skincare, to pain, stress management and for enhancing quality of life in cancer patients. ABOUT THE INNOVATOR / FOUNDER: The innovator and founder of Trisamya, Dr. Shakti Upadhyay, is a Doctorate from the University of Paris, France, and has done post-doctoral research at the University of California, Los Angeles, and Harvard Medical School, Boston. Dr. Upadhyay worked as Senior Scientist at the National Institute of Immunology, New Delhi; Research Director, Reliance Life Sciences, Mumbai; Chief Research Officer, EID Parry (India) Ltd., Chennai. In 2011, Dr. Upadhyay Started his journey as entrepreneur and established a biotech startup (www.immunocon.com) for developing a personalized cell-based therapies for cancer. He has also developed a non-invasive PBM therapy as a supportive care therapy for enhancing immunity and promoting quality of life in post-chemotherapy cancer patients.; Trisamya PBM therapy can also be used for skin care and pain management applications.
