Gaming is one of the fastest growing social / content categories. 2.7B gamers across the globe, 60m+ active creators and 1B+ viewers.Gamers love engaging with creators and other like minded community members. YouTube, Facebook and Twitch solve the distribution problem. Deeper engagement and monetisation is still lacking in gaming communities. Limited to <1% of the audience donating. Hence most streamers cannot make a sustainable living out of streaming. Right now, the creative economy on platforms like YouTube, Facebook and Twitch is very skewed - there are a few big winners and a lot of people hustling to make a living and barely getting by. But it doesn’t have to be like this. Platforms can offer a stable, middle-class. Turnip aims to solve this. We want to make sure gamers get the engagement they love and streamers make the kind of money they deserve.
