India's current population exceeded 1400 million and is increasing by 1.5% annually. About 55% of India's workforce is engaged in agriculture and related activities directly or indirectly. This includes not only farmers but also agricultural labourers and those involved in related activities to produce 3323 Million during the financial year 2023-24. To meet this population explosion, according to estimates from the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), to feed a growing global population, agricultural productivity needs to increase by around 70% to meet the projected food demand by 2050, which would require a significant boost in production to keep pace with population growth. The global population is projected to reach around 9.7 billion by 2050, significantly higher than the current population. The tragedy is that poor farmers can't be provided with required food because the losses are caused to food grains by menace of ravaging pests, which devour the crops to great extent. Per Capita consumption of pesticides in in very meagre at 450 grams/hectare as compared to other countries which use 9.9 kg/hectare. Further. 150 million people in India are engaged in agricultural operations and produce 200 Million Tonnes of Food Grains as against this only 06 Million farmers produce above 350 Million Tonnes of Food Grains in the USA. With the introduction of Hybrid (HYV), seeds the yield of the agricultural crops has been boosted, but the Crops have become increasingly vulnerable to the pests, hence the Volume of Pesticides have further enhanced whether Insecticides, Herbicides or Fungicides. As a result, the consumption of pesticides is the need of the day in India to become self-sufficient in the production of food grains by controlling the Pests. The growth in Pesticide market and need of quality products let to the formation of our unit UNITEK FEEDS PRIVATE LIMITED at Ankleshwar, Gujarat State. The Plant to be set up in 27500 sq. ft. with manufacturing of various types of Pesticide formulation such Emulsion Concentrate (EC), Suspension Concentrate (SC), Soluble Liquid (SL), Wettable Powder (WP), Soluble Powder (SP), Water dispersible Granule (WDG) etc.
