Urban Dairy is Kanpur’s first door-to-door supplier of farm-fresh organic and natural cow’s milk that is not processed or treated with any kind of chemicals (to increase the shelf-life or add an artificial thickness to the texture of milk). Distantly located from the ruckus and hubbub of the city-life, the dairy’s cattle is raised in an environment free from pollution and commotion. A healthy habitat keeps the herd relieved from any kind of stress. Stress free and happy cows are proven to produce the best quality of natural milk. Our farm is surrounded by green pastures, which also accounts for the abundance of green feed for the cows that adds the extra dose of health and vitamins to the milk. A cleaner & greener territory away from pollution ensures less number of pathogenic bacteria or other harmful microorganisms. When it comes to the milk produced by a cow, it wholly depends on the food that the cow has been fed. The food served to our herd is rich in essential minerals & vitamins, fresh green fodder, naturally occurring energy foods and a good dose of natural proteins. This diet not only maintains the health of the cows but also adds to the nutritional content of the milk you consume. So, through the milk produced at our farm, you get all those essential minerals & vitamins that you tend to miss in the busy life-style. We do not encourage the use of plastic, to control the landfill size of the milk pouches and also keeping in mind the safety of the consumer. So this healthy and fresh raw milk is packed in sealed air tight glass bottles to maintain the best possible quality standards. As the bottles are packed they are kept in controlled temperature conditions to maintain the quality of milk (as we do not use any chemical preservatives for the same). About the service – We operate on the “Farm to Glass” or “Cow to Consumer” model with no intermediaries in the supply chain. Human touch to the milk is forbidden, and there is no breakage in the cold chain till the milk is delivered to the consumer, as in the conventional co-operative model. This helps us to deliver the exact quality of milk to you that the cow produces. The milk packed in glass bottles under controlled temperature conditions is transported to a central hub in the city. From this centre, our delivery boys (who have a record of customers in their respective areas and also the requirement of each customer), collect their required number of bottles and store them in ice cooled boxes on their mopeds, and leave for door step deliveries to their respective customers
