In their own words
The incorporation of the company took place on 20 Sep 2018. In January 2019, the company started the operation of liquid milk, we started selling liquid milk in the market and we were not in a position to give a good dividend to the farmers. Started working on value-added products and millets came into the picture in 2021, after 18 months of work we prepared the first version of cookies on September 22 and then started research and development of the product of the bakery industry from the fusion of milk and millets. Prithviअन्न, an initiative by VaipKaid Producer Company Limited (V.P.C.L) to bring the oldest known grain(अन्न) of our motherland(Prithvi) back to the plate of every individual in all meals of all time for all age groups around the world. We opted for millets as these are superfoods due to their good for all traits: good for farmers in terms of less input investment; good for the environment as leaving less carbon footprint and thus are sustainable; good for consumers as they provide numerous health benefits. Therefore, incorporating millet into our diets can improve our health and create a more sustainable food ecosystem. V.P.C.L helps farmers to collectivize and start group enterprises, allowing them to pool together their produce; trade in larger quantities, and, depending on their capabilities and funding, start value-addition activities and identify non-local buyers. V.P.C.L is a legal entity owned by farmers and managed by Profeeniotanal, which, in this context, includes cultivators, Milk+millets Fusion Product, owners, and others engaged in primary production in the agriculture food sector. V.P.C.L focuses on commodities produced by its members, such as milk, and grains. Among these, most sell the produce in bulk to traders or agents, and some sell their products after value addition to bulk buyers, retailers, or directly to consumers.
