It happened during our founder Pankaj's film story research. The film was based in a wildlife sanctuary, and while researching he encountered the unique tribal culture and experienced their life science up close. Around the same time a few tribal women who were running a small home based food business in a remote village, met him to seek his help in improving the quality of their food products and the branding of the same. They believed that since he is an urban educated person his guidance will be of immense help. That trust of the women gave Pankaj a sense of responsibility towards their cause and he started to work alongside them. During this phase he felt a sense of belonging and realized that he became fully committed to an idea of creating a brand with the tribal community based on Tribal goodness and wisdom! Pankaj discovered that our forests are full of goodness and amazing super food ingredients, which are either unknown to or un-explored by urbanity. These ingredients have the capability of giving us numerous health benefitting products including a natural replacement of refined sugar. He came to an understanding that Tribal wisdom & life science can be a boon to urban lifestyle and health issues. And hence began the journey of Vaniki Life! Vaniki is a unique amalgamation of individuals across varied professions- helmed by film makers and foodies, fully supported by the tribal kinship, food technicians, Ayurveda experts and business leaders. The mother organization is formed with a vision to build a bridge between tribal life science and urban lifestyle with an aim to create a truthful, trusted, simplistic and impactful food and wellness brand. Our core is constructed on Empathy, sustainability, minimalism & a deep sense of responsibility. The tribal communities working alongside us are direct stakeholders in Vaniki, ensuring that they not only remain the custodians of wisdom and knowledge but also a partner in this journey This will help those communities
