Vastrasanskar Refiber Pvt. Ltd. has developed a textile waste chemical recycling technology to recover valuable materials from cotton–polyester textile waste. Our process first recovers cotton from blended, dyed, and printed textile waste while preserving its usability, followed by the recovery of polyester into its key chemical building blocks, Ethylene Glycol (EG) and Terephthalic Acid (TPA). The recovered cotton/cellulose feedstock is further utilized for regular textile applications, technical textiles, and yarn manufacturing. It is also further purified and converted into high-purity dissolving pulp, which is also produced for applications in Man-Made Cellulosic Fibres (MMCF) such as viscose and other regenerated cellulose fibres. Similarly, the recovered polyester feedstock and its chemical components (EG and TPA) can be utilized for further processing and manufacturing applications in the regular textile and technical textile sectors. Our technology aims to convert difficult-to-recycle dyed, printed and blended textile waste into reusable cotton/cellulose and polyester-derived feedstocks, enabling a circular, resource-efficient and scalable textile recycling ecosystem.
