www.vinusto.in Viraasat Venture Pvt. Ltd. set up in fall 2018, is a social enterprise, focused on Financial, Educational and Social upliftment of the craftsmen community in the handloom and handicraft sector of India. In the first phase of the enterprise, we are focusing on financial upliftment of the craftsmen i.e the Producer. As understood the reason for the poor economic condition of craftsmen is low awareness and reach of/to the consumer & the market, inappropriate pricing, and low capacity to invest in raw material, leading to dependence on middlemen. The business model aims at bringing skilled craftsmen from the handloom clusters of India, closer to the consumers using the medium of Technology, Design, and Communication. We provide market access to craftsmen and weavers through our Technology Platform www.vinusto.in. Vinusto, is an honest and sincere effort, focused on reviving and sustaining Indian legacy of craftsmanship (‘kaari..gari’) and craftsmen (‘kaari..gar’). Our products are a fusion of contemporary and traditional. We create harmony with the artistic interplay between craftsmen’s classical patterns as well as modern designs conceived by our inhouse designers, co-created by the kaari..gars on site. Each prototype has a story to tell, about its creators, their craft and their life. In the second phase, the enterprise will offer the technology platform to women who are skilled in painting, embroidery, knitting to display and sell their products thus making them financially independent. The enterprise aims to empower women socially and financially.
