Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) have become a major health burden in India. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), NCDs account for 61% of all deaths in India. The four major NCDs in India are cardiovascular diseases, cancer, chronic respiratory diseases, and diabetes. Also, mental health is a major issue post the covid pandemic, issues like stress, anxiety and depression are on the rise.The burden of NCDs in India is expected to increase in the coming years due to various factors such as the ageing population, urbanization, and changing lifestyles. The government of India has implemented various measures to address the burden of NCDs, including the National Programme for Prevention and Control of Cancer, Diabetes, Cardiovascular Diseases, and Stroke (NPCDCS), which aims to promote healthy lifestyles, early detection, and management of NCDs. To achieve good control over these diseases and improve the overall health & well-being of our population, active participation from private and semi-government organisations is also required.There is a growing need around the world to use a whole-person approach in the management of NCDs where individuals are treated by addressing the root cause, rather than treating just the signs and symptoms. Also, lifestyle interventions need to be integrated with medications and surgical options for holistic management. Focus is also required on the preventive health aspect to control this epidemic of obesity and lifestyle-related diseases. Telehealth and health tech can be of great use in expanding the reach of healthcare to the masses.WellGreen Health as a healthcare organisation serves the unique purpose of integrating the principles of Lifestyle medicine with conventional medicine using an evidence-based approach. We aim to use a multidisciplinary team approach comprising physicians, health coaches, dieticians & nutritionists, fitness trainers, psychologists, meditation & yoga instructors and physiotherapists in the management of obesity and NCDs. Preventive health and wellness is a major focus of our organisation. We plan to deliver healthcare services through on-site physical centres as well as telehealth services. We intend to use health technology in the delivery of our health services and programs and also for the tracking and accountability of patients and clients for lifestyle interventions and modifications. We work for the prevention, treatment and reversal of chronic conditions including but not limited to, obesity, diabetes, hypertension, metabolic, autoimmune and cardiovascular diseases. Our services also include weight management, fitness, nutrition, diet and mental well-being. Our lifestyle consultations and programs include a comprehensive assessment including a review of medical history, lab tests & medications, personalized therapeutic lifestyle interventions, health coaching support, diet & exercise plan, mindfulness/ meditation, cognitive behaviour therapy, positive psychology interventions, deaddiction services and therapy for sleep disorders. The lifestyle consultation and programs would be personalized to the needs of the patients. The facilities at the onsite centres would include health clinics, health coaching & counselling, and pharmacy and health store facilities. These on-site and online services/ programs and products would be appropriately charged and will add to the revenue of the firm.
