In their own words
WIMWI Foods was founded in 2014 by two IIM-Ahmedabad graduates with the mission to build healthy and tasty food products for the growing Indian market. ASAP (As Simple As Possible) is our flagship line of granola/snack bars developed in-house which aims to bring healthy, tasty and convenient snack bars to power the growing Indian work force. By using high quality oats, nuts and fruits we have developed a snack bar, which imbibes the philosophy, that healthy food can be made using simple ingredients people can understand. We have invested in developing cutting edge packaging solution, which offers a high shelf without any added preservatives. We have found huge customer traction with airports, airlines, office pantries and online channels. We are now scaling our work force both in sales and production to increase our presence in the market. We have in-house team of food technologists who are working on more innovative products as well. We have triples our capacity using food technology and have generated employment for more than 10 people in the last six months. We plan to further scale revenues and generate up to 250 direct and indirect jobs in the coming 3 years. We have raised two rounds of equity investment and have successfully given exit to the 1st round of investors with a healthy ROI and hence generated wealth through the venture. We also have a credit line with a public sector bank where we are paying timely EMIs creating interest income for the bank.
