Nyave is an AI-powered pre-filing defect checker platform for the Special Leave Petitions (SLPs) filed in the Supreme Court of India, designed to automate defect detection in SLPs before filing. The Problem: 100+ unique enforcement rules from SC Rulebook 2013 to SC Handbook 2025 make it impossible for Advocates on Record (AoRs) of the SC to ensure a 100% defect-free SLP. Proprietary data analysis of 2,061 SLPs filed in the SC from 2019 to 2026 has revealed a staggering 97.5% defect rate, meaning out of 100 SLPs filed, 97.5% have at least one violation as per Registry Rules. Currently, the compliance process is entirely manual and high-risk: • The Compliance Burden: Advocates must cross-reference filings against over 100 distinct, fragmented rule violations—ranging from scan quality and formatting errors to missing Vakalatnamas and incomplete Listing Proforma columns. • Limitation Period: Once the Registry flags a defect, the Advocate on Record (AoR) has a strict 28-day window to correct and refile. However, data shows the mean time to cure structural document defects frequently exceeds 25 to 40 days, putting petitions at risk of dismissal due to procedural delays. • Market Void: There is currently no automated commercial tool available to validate legal documents against Supreme Court Registry guidelines before submission. The Innovation & Solution: Nyave Nyave solves this manual checking process by introducing an AI-driven preemptive rule engine for the SLPs being filed, which would act as an advisor to the AoRs, showcasing defects based on proprietary technology. Proprietary Core Technology: Built on a digital rule engine mapping 106 unique rule checks based on SC Rules 2013, SC Handbook 2025, SLPs filed personally by the founder in the Supreme Court, a proprietary dataset, and official gazettes. Automated Auditing: The platform ingests, parses, and audits legal PDFs, identifying and flagging possible defects in an SLP before an AoR officially files it in the SC.
