Developing Next generation Sensing Solutions for Agriculture Yuktix is a startup based out of Bangalore creating next generation information systems for agriculture. Yuktix solutions can be used by farmers, growers, cooperatives, SHG and contract farmers to bring best practices, conserve resources and improve operation efficiency. Agriculture can benefit from the advances in computer and electronics technologies. The rest of the industries benefits immensely from data input and analysis tools. However, such technologies remain outside the reach of majority of small growers in the world. Mainly because there are few cost effective solutions that can provide compelling ROI on small budgets. The cost of trials are too high and technology platforms are not taking advantage of the recent advances in engineering. Yuktix sensor based data collection and analysis technology can bring benefit across the agriculture value chain, from field production to post harvest. Today data is driving decisions and sensors are ubiquitous tools to collect information from the physical world. This sensor data together with crop specific algorithms provides templates for operation efficiency, resource conservation and intelligent preventive systems. We provide data driven intelligence for Agriculture. Yuktix solutions include micro weather stations, automatic irrigation schedulers, greenhouse monitoring and post-harvest produce monitoring. micro weather stations capture data from field. Greenhouse monitoring and irrigation controllers can record accurate climate condition and provide automation thus eliminating guesswork out of operations. Our battery powered sensors can be installed to create ad-hoc networks and bring off-grid post-harvest storage to the monitoring grid. The solutions help in hotspot identification, automation based on real climate and soil conditions and prediction of errors. Our next generation 24x7 monitoring devices allow us to capture data critical for agriculture in details that is not possible by manual processes. The modern data storage and analysis software help bring the benefit of big data to the Agriculture. We take full advantage of advances in ad hoc networks, power of open source software and hardware expertise to bring out cost effective yet intelligent products that assists the enterprise and growers in bringing down costs and boost production. We assist farming by providing data and analysis at every step. We allow individuals and companies of any size in agriculture domain to benefit from modern hardware and software. We use our sensing nodes, edge software and sensorDB product on cloud to deploy these sensor networks with zero configuration and time delays. The system allows growers to view conditions in real time, alert them to the possibility of problems and provide analysis to improve current practices. Yuktix micro weather stations are in use at premier research institutes like ICAR Indian Institute of horticulture research, Indian Institute of Science, IIHS and companies like ITC, Wipro etc. We are running the largest urban weather network in India. Our sensing technology is helping growers monitor real time conditions of produce in off-grid warehouses near Ongole and Guntur. Our greenhouse solution was in use at MOERHEIM, a Dutch rose grower and TANAFLORA. We also provided technology to build the Bangalore lake dashboard and pollution monitoring for first smart city in India.
