Funding evidence
Startups named in an accelerator batch
198 companies, 0.4% of the 47,744 on the register carrying any funding signal.
In a published accelerator cohort. Batch membership implies a cheque at most programmes and evidences one at none of them, which is why it sits below a portfolio listing here.

Questions people ask
How many Indian startups are on an accelerator batch?
198 in our 2026-08 snapshot, out of 47,744 carrying any funding signal at all and 4,53,192 on the register. That is 0.4% of the funded set. The number is small because the evidence bar is high: 98% of the funded set is the self-declared checkbox on the government form.
Why is this number so much smaller than other startup databases?
Because we only count evidence we can point at, and only for companies we can also find on the Indian government's register with a redistributable record. We hold no Crunchbase or Tracxn licence, so a round that was only ever reported in the press is invisible to us. This is a floor, not a census. How we counted.
Does this mean these companies are still trading?
No. Registration is not an operating signal. A large share of registered startups are dormant, and we have no way to tell you which.
