Centre for Computers and Communication Technology (CCCT), Chisopani, South Sikkim, is a premier government polytechnic established in 1999 under the World Bank-assisted "Third Technician Education Project" of the Ministry of Education (then MHRD), Government of India. The institute was founded to advance technical education and position itself as a Centre of Excellence in the region.CCCT offers diploma programs certified by the Board of Technical Education, Sikkim. Initially developed in collaboration with NTTF, Bangalore, the curriculum is now guided by the National Institute of Technical Teachers’ Training and Research (NITTTR), Kolkata. The diplomas awarded by CCCT are widely recognized by leading industries in India and abroad.Over the years, CCCT has produced more than 2500 skilled diploma engineers, maintaining an average pass percentage of 75%. Beyond academics, the institute actively undertakes MHRD and State Government projects in skill development, capacity building, and industry-relevant training for rural youth.In a major step forward, CCCT has recently launched an Incubation Centre to promote innovation and entrepreneurship among students and local youth. This initiative supports early-stage startups by providing mentorship, infrastructure, and access to technical and business networks—encouraging the growth of a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem in the region.
