What stands out
Nagpur holds 3,991 of Maharashtra's 74,540 registered startups, 5.4% of the state. IT Services is its largest category with 407 companies (10.2%) out of 55 categories in use. 2,407 of the 3,991 carry a CIN and 1,653 a website, which is what the best-evidenced table in chapter 8 is built from.
423 carry a funding signal of some class. 418 of those are the self-declared checkbox on the government form and 6 are attested by a named backer, fund or state programme; the report prints the classes apart and never adds them into one "funded" number. 1,367 of Nagpur's startups can be placed to a street, which is the population the pincode chapter ranks.
