What this state's numbers show

Ladakh carries the highest funding-signal rate on the register: 18 of 98 entries, 18.4%, against 10.5% nationally. On a base this small that is a handful of companies rather than a trend, and a funding signal is a public mention of money raised, not a confirmed round. Recognition runs the other way at 26.5% against 51.2%. Leh holds 51.0%. The territory was separated from Jammu and Kashmir in 2019, and no incubator here holds a Seed Fund approval.

About this data

Indian Startup Map is an independent directory built from the Government of India's Startup India register and other public sources, snapshot 2026-08. We do not run the register, we do not own or represent any company on it, and nothing here is an endorsement of one. Company names and logos belong to their owners. Every source is listed.

A dot on the map may be wrong, and most of them are not an address. Most startups sit at the centre of their district, which is a label position and not a place. Where we do hold something finer it is a geocode of a registered office, which is frequently a founder's home rather than a place of business, so we round it and never publish the address line.

Registration is not an operating signal. A large share of registered startups are dormant, and we have no way to tell you which. Figures come from our own count of that snapshot and will differ from the government's own census, which counts differently.
