Aceworx is an impact-centric agribusiness enterprise that helps buyers to source traceable, high-value agricultural commodities and their value-added products directly from tribal regions and other sustainable production regions in India. It achieves this by converging the efforts of key stakeholders in the value chain (namely farmer producers, farmer producer organisations aka FPOs, processors, NGOs, bilateral / multilateral / international / Indian development organisations, impact investors, government agencies, social enterprises, financial institutions and relevant service providers). On the other hand, Aceworx works with farmer producers and their collectives and enables them to align their production activities with the demands of consumers. Aceworx, through its various partner organisations, supports FPOs in developing and improving their capacities to undertake market-facing commercial and supply chain activities such as stocking, processing and marketing of agri-food produce which most FPOs tend to avoid as these entail business risks. By encouraging (ideologically-aligned) FPOs and processors to become shareholders, Aceworx intends to become a preferred value chain integrator in targeted value chains and, in due course, achieve its vision of being a truly inclusive, multi-stakeholder owned, social enterprise. Aceworx has been able to establish direct sourcing value chains in collaboration with FPOs, government agencies, grassroots organizations and projects (primarily funded by government agencies and bilateral / multilateral / international / Indian development organisations such as the World Bank, GIZ, NABARD etc.) which seek to strengthen value chains in favour of tribal producers, women farmers, smallholders and other disadvantaged producer segments. Since it works directly with FPOs and their support agencies, Aceworx is well-placed to bring out not only the traceability information about primary and value-added agri-food products but also the quintessential stories of the producer families behind these products.
