Currently, the transformers are monitored manually at a set frequency, every week or fortnight basis. In case of any potential problems that can lead to catastrophic failures, it is unknown to the user. The user gets to know of such events only after failure occurred, thus leading to risk and loss of assets, power supply and threat to human life. All of these are very expensive.
