In their own words
One type and most important data which we always needed in infrastructure planning for a city are missing in national databases, and this is real-time household level infrastructure services operation and maintenance data. This paper describes the real-time mapping of the household with the help of IoT devices and existing applications. Currently, in India, cities use the traditional top-down approach in planning. and plans work in silos. Cities do not have ground-level spatial data of problems so they created a new solution for every problem they encounter, but cities are complex and we need to integrate this solution and assess these issues up to the local level spatially. The vision of this project is to develop a web-based application which can converge all this problem on one platform and we can understand local problem spatially. We believe that a solution cannot be developed in a silo: developing the tool itself is only one side of the coin. We propose an interactive tool named ADAPT application that can help cities in the integration of applications, stakeholders, and providing a decision-making approach to solve current issues in the planning process so cities can adopt for solid waste management. This system is useful for smart cities, ULBs and other institutions for effective planning, improving governance, and service delivery.
