Ahmednagar District Poultry Farmers Producer Company has started its operations in December 2020 with 10 farmers onboard and it has done 5 lakh turnoversin poultry feed. Ahmednagar District Poultry Farmers Producer Company is one such farmer producer company operating in Ahmednagar district of Maharashtra which has excelled in a short span of time. The primary objective of the company was to provide the best of infrastructure and adequate production and processing facilities to the farmers to make them participate in the value chain. The company is working with about 1500 farmers. Majority of the farmers working with this company are small and marginal farmers. The members of the company are involved in cultivation of high value crops like vegetables and fruits. Company has increased its sales revenue from 5 lakhs to 900 lakhs within the period of 3 years and Its member base grew from 10 farmers to 1500 shareholder members.At the inception, company started trading activity with Poultry Food and Soya but we soon released that we need to diversify into other commodities as well to cope up with volatility in prices and that’s how we started on boarding custard apple, Guava, and other fruits & vegetable farmers.
