Sanitary napkin, a universally needed product, has very low penetration in India and other developing countries, partly due to its high price and partly due to the tradition of using cheaper but unhygienic old cloth piece. As a result they become the host of many infectious diseases. This is due to lack of awareness and economic inability for adopting better precautions like use of good sanitary napkins during menstruation period. Usually different varieties of sanitary napkins are found available in the market but they are very expensive and are not affordable for rural & under-privileged women and girls. Currently, napkins are manufactured in high cost machines only.The access to sanitary napkins and awareness of hygienic menstrual practices ensures that our monthly cycle has little impact on our personal and professional lives. However, not every girl or woman in our country is as blessed. The availability of menstrual hygiene products is limited to only a few strata of women in the society and is therefore highly unstable even in the most developed cities and almost negligible in rural areas located far from prime supply centres. Women who could afford the pads at their normal prices still fail to get hold of them due to the lack of public transport and mobility restrictions and even due to unable to afford it because of high prices. To ensure the continuous availability of sanitary napkins at affordable prices, Alfariyaah Solutions India Private Limited, aims to manufacture good quality Sanitary Napkins at inexpensive rates so as to make Sanitary Napkins available to the women of India.
