An innovative concept is a multilayered single unit of PV Cell design & development. This will reduce the PV Panel area and increase the electrical power generating efficiency per PV panel. This will be backed by LIGHT-PIPE technology, where sunlight is transported via OPC. The design concept and idea is to develop a compact unit where sunlight is supplied to silicon cells arranged or piled up in vertical layers. The number of silicon cells is fitted into a single unit is going to reduce the PV panel installation area. Each compact multilayered PV cell unit produces more electrical energy per unit area. This is going to solve the problem of electrical energy generated using the large area where more PV panels are required to put under sunlight in a single plain area. The ratio of electrical energy generated per PV panel to the consumed unit area to install the PV panels is greatly improved, that is depending upon how many cells are vertically arranged and sunlight supplied to them. The sunlight is concentrated, transported via OFC, and the sunlight is supplied to each solar cell vertically layered into a single unit. Incident sunlight is concentrated using the suitable concentrator and further transmitted and concentrated via a tiny fresnel lens array fitted over each solar cell plate. Expectation from this kind of unit to generate five or more times electrical energy in a less or small area. This will be a game-changer into the world of solar cell technology.
