• Arcatron Mobility is a Pune based company building the next generation of devices to empower people with limited mobility to lead dignified and active lifestyles. • Arcatron Mobility was founded by four engineers from NIT Calicut with a shared motto of using Purpose Driven Innovation to make assisted living dignified and safe. • The company has launched a range of bathroom assist devices to solve problems associated with using toilets for people with acute mobility challenges. • The company has sold more than 800 units and recorded revenue INR 98 lakh since June 2015 with an average annualized revenue growth rate of 149%. The production launch has happened only for one product variant MAC101 and that too recently in July’18. • The company aims to raise funds to pursue future growth opportunities by expanding the manufacturing and distribution of its current products and by developing new products focused on solving current unmet needs in limited mobility. • India has 110 million+ elderly citizens with more than 1/3rd of them needing assistance in carrying out activities of Daily Living (ADL’s) like bathing, toileting, walking. India also has one of the highest rates of road accidents (one serious accident every minute) leading to severe mobility limitations. • Demand for mobility assistance is increasing due to the rapid rate of aging, spinal cord injuries and obesity. However, the mobility devices available in India are poor quality or unaffordable. • Arcatron aims to fix this problem by building world-class mobility devices at affordable prices. The company has a strong focus on IP and has filed several patents in India for their product line. They also have a CE certificate which is recognized as a mark of standard, not only in India but in most international markets. • The company has won the best startup award at SURGE Conference 2016 by Google, won in Maharashtra startup week and received several software resources from Autodesk, Microsoft • Arcatron Mobility strives to remain focused on serving unmet needs in limited mobility and establish itself as one of the most trusted medical device companies in the world by 2022
