Arma Tela Opus Pvt. Ltd. (ATOPL) has been setup with the specific purpose and intent to manufacture world class ammunition in India to serve the sports, military and civilian sectors . Presently all the above three mentioned sectors are completely reliant upon either external imports or the Indian Ordinance Factory Board and a few private manufacturers. Despite the best efforts of all concerned authorities in all three sectors, there is a considerable shortage of quality ammunition which is a grave cause of concern, which has direct fallout accordingly : • SPORTS o Prohibitively high cost of ammunition and overseas transport by sea / air o Erratic supply chain o Lack of reliability o Less training and consequent poor performance at international levels • MILITARY o Presently being sourced from overseas, IOFB and private players o Relatively less R&D o Supply reliability issues due to limited domestic production capacity • CIVILIAN o Poor quality o Less availability of variety of rarely used ammunition, resulting in non-use of certain priceless historic weapons, further resulting in their decay which is a loss of national historic treasure. Towards this end, we are already in communication and negotiations with international industry leaders, including HULL Cartridge Company, United Kingdom for technology transfer and machinery purchase requirements. Our proposed facility will be at Village : Parthampura, Taluka : Savli, District : Vadodara, very close to the Delhi – Mumbai freight corridor and as such we will easily be able to service the requirements of a great geographical span of the nation. This apart, the project will generate a huge requirement for semi-skilled and skilled labour apart from managerial and administrative positions, thereby generating much required employment opportunities in the local area, further resulting in the betterment of quality of life for the region. ATOPL will proudly be also contributing to the economy by generating GST revenue for the government apart from providing a general phillip to the the local economy.
