Atthah Petrochem Private Limited is a company incorporated on February 10, 2022, with the purpose of manufacturing grain-based ethanol. The company plans to establish a 200 KLPD (Kilo Liters per Day) ethanol distillery and a 4.5 MW captive power generation plant in Banswara, Rajasthan, India. The ethanol produced by the company will primarily be used for blending with petroleum as a biofuel, and other by-products such as carbon dioxide (CO2) and dried distillers' grains with solubles (DDGS) will also be generated. The commercial operation of the plant is expected to commence on January 1, 2025, after a construction period of 16-18 months and additional time for pre-commissioning trial runs, obtaining statutory approvals, and finalizing financial arrangements. The company aims to contribute to the government's Ethanol Blending Programme (EBP), which mandates the blending of ethanol with petrol by Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) in India. This program promotes the use of biofuels as an alternative to fossil fuels and aims to increase domestic ethanol production, reducing dependence on imports and making fuel costs more economical. By producing ethanol, Atthah Petrochem Private Limited aims to support the government's initiative and help achieve the targeted ethanol blending percentage in fuel, thereby reducing pollution levels and promoting a cleaner environment.
