Bad Cat Brewtech is an Infrastructure as a service startup in the craft beer industry. The key driver of craft beer consumption in India is discovery - the more places there are for people to find craft beer, the higher number of people who switch to it. This is visible in the way craft beer has become a USD 1 Billion industry in 2019, with outlets growing from 2 in 2010 to 174 brewpubs and 10 craft bottlers at the end of 2019. However, we ask the question that why more bars/pubs across India not becoming microbreweries and why this growth is not faster, and the answer to that is four fold: 1. Separate Licensing costs which vary per state 2a. High capital costs in terms of setting up a brewing infrastructure 2b . Diminished capacity post setup - as the setup eats into seating space 3. The need for dedicated operations and staff to brew fresh craft beer 4. The need for a robust and scalable supply chain for ingredients This is the problem Bad Cat solves through abstraction - we brew fresh beer on demand, in smaller to mid sized batches and abstract these four main issues. This way, every bar can become a brewery and have a product offering of its own design and can stand out among it's competition. We help bars sell unique and fresh beer without the need for a license, equipment, operations or supply chain!
