BEFLIGHT is India’s first and only Food ordering and delivery platform available for delivering meals and beverages within the security cleared zones of Domestic / International Terminals of Major Indian airports. While there has been an exponential growth in airline traffic, the ground infrastructure at Indian airports has not kept pace. With limited access roads and entrances for passengers to first alight from their transport and then reach their check-in / bag drop counters, especially during rush hours (usually early mornings and evenings), each passenger must fight their way through in order to make it to their boarding gates on time. Additionally, the perennially heightened security environment entails multiple checks of personal identity and valid travel documents. This combination has every potential to delay passengers long enough to miss their flight. Given this ‘in-the-nick-of-time’ environment prevalent at most airports, the average traveller does not have the luxury of planning their meals and with no other option, are resigned to consuming inflight meals / beverages. To resolve this inadequacy, BEFLIGHT, a Start-up was founded in 2019 by a Delhi based company, which would enable air travellers to plan their meal enroute the airport, designate a place of delivery 9respective boarding gate, or waiting area) complete their check-in and security formalities and receive their freshly prepared meal / beverage. BEFLIGHT, an app-based platform, will commence operations from IGI Airport Delhi and subsequently cover all major airports in India.
