This is achieved through:- Utilisation of natural starches, cellulose, and polylactic acid (PLA) as base materials- Integration of enzymatic and microbial triggers that accelerate breakdown- Custom formulations for strength and flexibility, comparable to traditional plastics3. Differentiating Features- Rapid Degradation: Decomposes within 180 days in composting conditions (as per ASTM D6400 or ISO 17088 standards)- Non-toxic: Leaves no harmful chemicals or microplastics in soil or water- Made from Renewable Resources: Utilises plant-based feedstock instead of petroleum- Custom Applications: Products designed for packaging, cutlery, and agricultural use, with tunable mechanical and thermal properties4.
