In their own words
We are a startup in the superfoods business and we plan to introduce multiple healthy products in the market under the brand name “Seed of Life”. Our first factory is now operational and is producing popped makhana through specialized machines. We have tied up with the government institute (ICRA) for the technology and machinery to produce Makhana. The technology helps us to produce popped makhana through an automated process which minimal human intervention. The quality of the Makhana produced is uniform and high quality, taking this product to newer quality levels. The technology also helps us roast the seeds of Makhana to increase shelf life of the seeds helping us beat the seasonal limitation. We source our Makhana seeds directly from the farmers and more than 200 farmers are already tied up with us. We are the only company in the market that operates with the ‘source to plate’ concept to the consumer in the market. Going forward, we request your help to develop technology and process to increase the productivity of Makhana seeds and also final popped Makhana. As a way forward, we would also like to enter into other superfoods like water-chestnut, Sattu, Indian Maize etc. We request your support to help us develop newer, improved, more nutritional and high-quality products with higher productivity which we can launch. Our objective is to offer healthy product offerings with high productivity aimed at both – health of the consumer and the increasing income of the farmers.
