1. Who We Are Karatpay was founded by a team of IIT Bombay graduates, chartered accountants and jewellers with an experience of more than 35 years in the industry to digitize and simplify bullion procurement in India. Built by BNR Precious Metals Pvt. Ltd., it enables retailers, wholesalers, and manufacturers to buy, transfer, and manage bullion online. The platform allows digital transfers and direct delivery to the end manufacturer, removing the need for physical handovers at each step. 2. The Problem We Are Solving India’s bullion supply chain is fragmented: Retailers buy bullion and physically deliver it to multiple wholesalers. Wholesalers then hand it over to manufacturers for jewellery production. This leads to: Repeated physical movement of bullion, increasing cost, time, and risk. Inefficient tracking and lack of transparency. High operational dependency on manual processes. 3. How We Are Solving the Problem Karatpay replaces physical movement with a digital flow: Retailers buy bullion and receive gold in secured digital Vault. They can transfer units to wholesalers and then to manufacturers — all within the app. Manufacturers request delivery, which is fulfilled directly by Karatpay. A GST-compliant invoice is issued for every transaction. This model reduces friction, risk, and delays, while improving transparency and control. 4. Vision of the Company To build India’s leading platform for digital bullion transactions — replacing outdated, manual delivery systems with a fast, secure, and transparent digital model, especially for MSMEs in the jewellery trade. 5.
