About Koo: Just 10% of India knows and prefers English. The rest 90% speak an Indian vernacular language. Today such people don’t have a meaningful place and way to share their thoughts with others. Koo is a platform which enables that and gives a voice to such people. Koo is an app built for Indians to express in the form of micro blogs in their mother tongue and also follow others from the same community for their thoughts and opinions. What users can do on Koo: - Share opinions/updates on any topic in their native Indian language via Audio/Video/Text - Follow Bollywood artists, Journalists, Politicians, Cricketers, Actors / Actresses, Activists and other interesting people on Koo. - View feed of content in chosen Indian language and see what people they follow said. Koo’s Journey so far: Koo started in Apr 2020 with Kannada language and added Hindi language in June 2020. Koo is now available in 4 Indian languages i.e. Hindi, Kannada, Telugu & Marathi. Koo has grown exponentially and is now been used by more than 2 million Indians including some of the most eminent Indian personalities like Sadhguru, Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, Anil Kumble, Javagal Srinath, Chief Minister of Karnataka, Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka and 1000s of Politicians, Government Officials, Actors, Actresses, Singers, Fraternity from the film industry, Journalists, Sportspersons etc. who share their thoughts in their language on Koo. In Dec 2020, Koo was recognised as Google Play’s Best App of 2020 by Google Playstore. In Jan 2021 Koo has been declared as “Golden Mi Award” winner by Mi team. Koo’s Journey ahead: Koo is already set on a journey to be available in 10+ Indian languages and reach out to 100 Mn+ Indian users by 2022. Within next few years Koo will be one of the most powerful people network in India, giving voice to the real India.
