BookMyJet, India’s first of its kind technology app platform for transparent & seamless private aircraft and helicopter booking has been launched on 17 June 2021. Founded by two senior professionals with over 30 years of cumulative experience in general aviation industry - Santosh Sharma and Ajuka Mahajan, this platform is a result of research and analysis of the private jet market, which has witnessed a huge surge in demand especially during the pandemic & post times. India has seen a rise in the induction of large numbers of private jets in the last 7-8 years especially in cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Bengaluru, Chennai & Kolkata. Many corporate houses went ahead and bought their own private jets for their own flying and rent it out too to external sorties. What has been missing in the general aviation market is an element of trans- parency pertaining to availability and pricing of the aircraft. As a result, the clients either land up flying a wrong aircraft or paying more. Also, due to unavailability of any reliable information about the private jet or helicopter in Tier-2 & Tier-3 cities like Bhopal, Indore, Raipur, Chandigarh, Ludhiana, Rajkot, Baroda, Madurai, Bhubaneswar, Ranchi, etc., the flyers opt for alternate mode of transportation, though they have the capacity of hiring a chartered plane. BookMyJet provides answers to all the above points. Some of the features of thus technology app are: 1. Real time availability of aircraft and helicopters across India 2. Provides technical information including seating capacity, no. of engines, crew, etc of the aircraft 3. Availability of opHon like “Get Quote” & “Call Back” buttons 4. Empty Legs notifications 5. 24 x 7 customer care 6. Saving time and money Currently, this app have selected fleet of aircraft & helicopter across india on its platform. We would be adding other planes once we have signed agreements with the owners. We are very certain that with this initiative, both the customers as well as the aircraft operators would gain, in terms of getting reliable and authentic details of private jet booking & increase in the fleet utilisation respectively. Very importantly, organisations & potential flyers, who so far haven’t been able to avail the charter flight services mainly due to unavailability of aircraft / helicopter in their cities & cost factor, would now be able to use the same pretty comfortably BookMyJet intends to add more number of aircraft and helicopters, not just in India but also from other parts of Middle East, South East & Europe markets in times to come.
