Box Farming Global is a social enterprise with the mission to eliminate rural poverty of smallholder farmers by harnessing digital technology and local entrepreneurship to grow farmer's economic, social and human capital.Through a decentralized network of micro-entrepreneurs, it converts an exploitative and fragmented agricultural system into a collaborative and connected soil-to-sale model.Digitally trained micro entrepreneurs, equipped with our mobile application and knowledge on agricultural best practices, provide extended agricultural services including input services to the last mile needed by the farmers. These include providing affordable soil analyses; suggesting on crop rotation, high-quality inputs; sustainable and safe practice education; and key market connections. Concurrently, these entrepreneurs connect suppliers, buyers, aggregators and distributors to this network of smallholder farmers using digital platform, providing simplified streams of communication, information and product between the many stakeholders in the agro value chain. This highly personalized, holistic approach generates rural employment, sustainable income, and increased productivity while still reducing the costs, communication challenges and time associated with each step of the process.
