Hi, I am Abhijeet, founder and CEO of abCoffee. We are India’s first Tech enabled affordable specialty company built on the mission to democratize specialty coffee in India by making India's highest-graded coffee accessible at honest prices across the country. The story of abCoffee began with finding an answer to the question: Why is a decent cup of coffee still a luxury in India and prices comparable to that of the US, Europe, and Australia?It took me 14 months of research, visiting over 200 cafés across 20 cities in 12 states in India, living and experiencing coffee with coffee farmers in Chikmanglur, and talking to thousands of coffee lovers and experts to understand the need of rising India and a dream to bring the best of Indian coffee at affordable prices which we can drink daily without spendthrift guilt. This is how abCoffee was born.We have launched two coffee decks in 2 months across Mumbai (Versova and Powai) and is now en route to expanding across India to democratize specialty coffee in India. While we are unit economics positive from the onset, Versova deck reached store level profitability in 3 months and Powai deck is enroute to that in the second month itself. Covering a TAM of ~4B, estimated CAGR of 8.2% and meteoric demand rise in quality coffee in India, we are filling up the market gap in India which is seeking to be fulfilled in the present. I am an IIT Alumni, who later studied Law and then Masters in Political Marketing, encompassing an International award winning 10 years career in Energy Industry across 3 countries before starting abCoffee in 2022. As we say it: The time to democratise specialty coffee in India is "NOW". Ready to ride the wave with us?
