A significant percentage of Indians are vegetarians. Even among the non-vegetarians, of the 21 meals in a week, 15+ are estimated to be vegetarian. With these strong cultural dietary habits, most of us don't meet the regular protein requirement recommended by doctors. As a thumb rule, an individual should intake about 0.8-1g of protein per kg of their bodyweight. Most of us don't even meet 50% of this threshold. There are three main reasons for this- First, most of the vegetarian food ingredients have low protein levels naturally, second, choice of food is a strong cultural evolution & making changes in one's habit is very difficult and third, even with the growing food consumerism, in terms of more packaged foods, more restaurants and cloud kitchens, awareness about global cuisines, the supply market hasn't been able to give Indians many high-protein, convenient, affordable and tasty vegetarian food options.We want to enter the market to alleviate the third problem. We want to enter into the Indian food's space with high-protein vegetarian offerings. These offerings can be in different formats- restaurants, cloud kitchens, FMCG, subscriptions etc.
