What service does Chef Junction offer ? We are a homemade food delivery platform serving the residents of Bhubaneswar currently. A customer orders from us and we provide a hygienic option of food prepared safely at the home kitchens of the hand-picked home chefs. This service is a real-time food preparation alternative to a pre-cooked hotel and restaurant food; every ingredient of a dish is chosen and the components are cooked at the time of the arrival of order. How is Chef Junction innovative ? There are multiple restaurant food delivery aggregators in India but not one that targets the authenticity of homemade comfort food; this is where Chef Junction comes to play. We are the first-ever purely homemade food aggregator company in Eastern India. Our journey started when Covid-19 hit in India and the restaurants started closing. It also looked like a doomed idea to order from hotels considering the safety precautions. “Hygiene and quality” became our backbone. A lot of people lost their jobs, companies reduced their salaries, and after some time even restaurants started closing making the blue-collared employee sector (consisting of delivery boys) vulnerable. Chef Junction ideated on acquiring home chefs and delivery boys to provide them an income source and keep up with their job/passion meanwhile the covid phase got settled down. But now it looks like Chef Junction has become a trustable brand and customers are not just ordering ‘food’ rather they are bringing happiness to their homes. Our target audience is both young and old age groups to serve clean and 100% homely food; including covid patients. We have been serving covid patients and people with other health ailments as a way to fresh and healthy food. This theme was taken up in our trial phase long before this trend had not even reached the market. Chef Junction maintains its quality by looking at the kitchen standards and the brands of ingredients a home chef is using to prepare the food. These are the criteria alongside the ‘taste’ in the onboarding process to qualify for becoming a chef at our platform. As it is mentioned, we “hand-pick our chefs” for customers. From as small as a category to big, we have pickle-makers and authentic cuisine cooks to bakers. Chef Junction is quite attainable as well. What a customer needs is good quality food. If looking for good spice brands, clean utensils, and precautionary measures while cooking- only a luxury hotel can provide it which suits the higher class. Customers get this particular luxury right here with us. The costs at which dishes are available on our platform are not expensive and still have the premium quality one needs. The fact that overhead charges including space rentals, electricity, water bill, and much more do not become a factor when the food is being prepared in a home kitchen. We provide real-time food service too as an order is prepared from scratch at an allotted time, unlike the hotels/restaurants/cafes where the components of a dish are pre-prepared and combined when an order arrives. This is one of our USPs. Our vision lies towards the growth of togetherness with food. From our team to the home chefs to the delivery boys- our innovation and ideation lie with the same wish. We have a trust build-up in the food market and it is yet to spread even further.
