The company was started by two young individuals who had challenging formative years. They grew up in poverty with lack of skill-based learning, exposure, and thus, opportunities. As they crossed each other’s paths during their career, their similar past made them realize the need to create channels that enrich and empower the lives of children and youth in rural communities. Child and Youth Development Foundation was officially formed in August 2017 though the directors started working on their concepts right from 2014. Child and Youth Development Foundation has developed an integrated approach, rooted in business principles, where, children and youth gain skills to impact their own lives and communities, and involve the community in a collaborative effort that brings forth small yet sustainable grassroots actions that matter most to the development of their youth. Thus Child and Youth Development developed with a mission statement of “Let’s Create a healthy sustainable community where every individual child is afforded theopportunity to reach and fulfill his /her potential.”
