Chroma Biotech LLP is a private commercial Plant Biotechnology Laboratory in Dibrugarh which have been engaged in Bamboo Tissue Culture (TC) operations since August 2021. It is a small tissue culture facility covering around 1000 square feet. They have also signed a MoU with Rain Forest Research Institute (RFRI), under ICFRE, Govt. of India, for supply of bamboo clones for both micropropagation and micropropagation. It is currently the only private commercial TC laboratory in Assam focused on mass production of tissue cultured bamboo saplings. It employs an all-female workforce in laboratory operations to empower women in science and technology.
