NEdigenous Foods LLP is an enterprise led by a woman for the rural women of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh. it is about uplifting them and helping in promoting their indigenous food products in the market ecosystem. Their produce is solely sourced from their own backyard, processed/manufactured, packaged and sold within their network. Products such as candied Bamboo shoot, sweet Bhoot Jolokia aka Assam Chilli sauce, Elephant Apple and Tenga Mora candies, Smoked Singpho Tea, Black Rice Pasta, Heritage RIce wine etc. have immense potential to have a strong foothold in the national and international circuit. The most dominant product under the NEdigenous Foods LLP banner is the brand POKA MITHOI, an artisan bean to bar chocolate infused with the indigenous tastes of Assam. Healthy binging and clean eating are the main motto behind creating this bar of chocolate. We are striving to create a bridge between the rural women community of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh in promoting their indigenous food products and projecting them at a national level. We want to be a one stop platform for these women right from product development, R&D and marketing. We want to build a sustainable ecosystem for them to be financially stable and receive their due for their products. We would bridge their products and project them nationally and internationally and establish a market linkage by exposure. The key objectives are to - provide information, channeling the finances, raw material procurement, establishing accessible markets, technology and also addressing gender gap.
