Claxa Chemicals aims to cater the facility of main chemical used in the industrial belt of paper manufacturing and sugar industry located in and around Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh. The main chemicals used in both these industries is Polyamine. It is used as a coagulant in paper industry for water treatment which allows the manufacturing units to recycle the water within their facility instead of discharging the waste water into the environment. In sugar industry, this chemical is used for the whitening of sugars. Currently, the major manufacturers of polyamine are located in Gujarat and most of them are exporting a major part of chemicals which leads to flow of Indian Fund to Foreign Markets. The objectives of this startup are as follows: a. Increase the availability of Polyamine in Northern India b. Decrease the cost of chemical by manufacturing it in India as well as reducing the transportation costs by setting up the plant near the major consumers c. Bring down the manufacturing cycle time from 48 hours to 24 hours using a different pathway for manufacturing this chemical d. Reduce the water discharged into river Ganga by paper factories by allowing them to recycle their water (which will help in major pollution control for River Ganga) e. Facilitate government water treatment plants by providing them with polyamine instead of relying on imported products.
