In their own words

MSME Ministry of India has set a target to scale up the contribution of MSMEs to GDP to 50% by 2025 as India becomes a $5 trillion economy. Hence, the sector presents huge opportunity for SMEs engaged in this sector and consequently for Clime Finance. The Company estimates a market for $500 bn for MSMEs in India which it aims to target. The Company sees this as an opportunity to operate as a NBFC, primarily focusing on lending to small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) engaged in Climate adaptation and mitigation activities such as renewable energy, sustainable transport, sustainable agriculture; healthcare, and digital enterprises. We believe that women entrepreneurs are under-represented when it comes to access to capital for SMEs. We have specific focus to increase women representation in our portfolio companies at a minimum of 30%. Founder Mr. Inderpreet Singh Wadhwa is a successful entrepreneur with passion for sustainable ventures in emerging markets. He has over 30 years of experience building large scale infrastructure and technology companies.
