Codesustain is an emerging young brand emphasising on sustainable and rustic living with a vision to inculcate conscious and sustainable consumption and minimal eco-footprint in last-mile Ecommerce delivery chains. I returned to India to start working again in the corporate sector a few years ago and saw rampant use of plastic and other long-term environment damaging products. The idea of sustainability is being adopted in bits and pieces in India and I have started Codesustain with the vision of promoting eco-friendly and return to earth products while also promoting our old ways of life and minimal consumption to the fore. Our product categories of clay, stoneware, rustic metals and accessories are crafted with traditional elements and methods while empowering marginal artisans and artisan groups. We envision our clients switching to eco-friendly product alternatives and making such products accessible to everyone across the globe soon. We intend to branch out into physical experience stores while simultaneously creating employment opportunities for artisans and other marginalised communities. We intend to keep our supply chains as green as possible, and our last mile delivery is 100% plastic free and sustainable - even though it works out 5X more expensive to cut out plastic and artificial shipping implements. Codesustain is also a woman centric organisation aimed at supporting and promoting women employees. 90% of our employees are women and we intend to keep this gender ratio in the company as a baseline. 10% of our profits will be routed back to the society every year, and we intend to support and fund initiatives in girl child education, women empowerment, and eco-conservation domains.
