Powerplay is a communication app for contractors that helps them collect money faster for their work. Powerplay offers software for collaboration and communication in the construction industry. Our customers are architects, contractors, and builders across India. Recently, construction site workers are able to afford a smartphone with an internet connection, which has enabled the digital transformation of construction activities. Powerplay offers a free mobile app for communication, an app for purchase management, project management, drawing coordination, and more. The Indian construction industry is the second biggest contributor to GDP and employs 16% of the working population. And, yet there is no software for the small and medium contractors in the construction industry. Contractors struggle in getting and providing basic visibility of work, material, and labor using pen, paper, and WhatsApp. We at Powerplay believe that now is the right time to build this as construction site teams are coming online for the first time. Powerplay will digitize the Indian construction industry via its mobile OS connecting all stakeholders, resulting in faster and better construction. With 10,000+ contractors and 100k+ site workers across 800+ Indian cities using Powerplay within 6 months of launch, we are building a category-creating product. Iesh Dixit and Shubham Goyal started working on Powerplay in Dec 2019. Iesh has previously built a B2B online marketplace used by 10,000 retailers across India and has also worked in Jumbotail's business team. Shubham has worked in Samsung mobile research team and has built Samsung S-10 camera software that sold over 40M units and got the highest camera DXO rating in the world.
