CREAR was born out of a dream by some of India’s most ingenious tech enthusiasts to bridge the Indian digital divide by ensuring that every citizen had access to a world class personal computer at affordable prices. Crear is running under five partners, Pratik Parmar, Vishal Barot, Vaibhav Patel, Vatsal Jethva & Ankit Pitroda. Our journey started with our Alpha Desktop screen, which contained the screen and case in a beautifully crafted wooden body. Many iterations later, we were ready with 3 models of a powerful credit-card sized CPU embedded with a dynamic UI - Crear PC, Crear TV and and Crear Duo. We simultaneously built the hardware, software and cases for our devices. After close to 10 months, with great trepidation and pride, we have placed 30 CPUs (beta) in various government schools as a pilot solution. Today, CREAR is a unique compact tech solution, with both OS and hardware components, that seamlessly merges the functionality of a personal computer with the portability you expect from contemporary technology. It works 17 times faster and consumes 80% less power as compared to a regular CPU. We made three different versions of Crear CPU. These are Crear PC, Crear TV, and Crear DUO. We also made Crear PC regional edition in which we provide whole OS in 20+ Indian regional languages. Crear PC is standalone desktop version having Crear 1.0 Spiritual OS.
