Women especially single mothers in rural India require a sustainable solution to sustain and also contribute to the bigger picture. Hence we started De’haat Foundation a section 8 company. Vision Statement To empower women in Rural India to achieve financial independence. Mission Statement Build a sustainable work model of training and production of eco-friendly utility items making women independent and acting as a catalyst in their economic growth. Model We identify single mothers and needy women, train them, provide the raw material. These women make eco-friendly utility items that we sell. Currently, we are at Pauni, where we make paper products and at Ganeshpur we make cloth products. We have also collaborated with TATA Group & a French Multination. Where we replicate the model in their vicinity. Impact We started with 2 single mothers and today we have provided fulltime livelihood to 77 women. And their income has grown by 3 to 4 times.
