At Deo Rides, our core innovation is integrating electric bike taxis into Kerala’s urban mobility in a sustainable, socially impactful, and scalable way. While ride-hailing services exist, there is a clear gap in affordable, eco-friendly two-wheeler transport for short city commutes. Our electric bike fleet reduces fuel dependency, cuts operational costs, and supports India’s net zero goals. Beyond clean mobility, we focus on women empowerment by recruiting and training women riders for women passengers, addressing safety and comfort concerns while creating dignified jobs for women – a unique model in the sector.We ensure continuous improvement through rigorous rider training, regular EV maintenance, and an intuitive app for booking, tracking, and digital payments. User feedback is integrated for constant refinement and service reliability.Scalability is at our core. Starting with Kochi, we plan rapid expansion to other Kerala cities like Calicut and Trivandrum within a year. Our asset-light approach with strategic EV procurement partnerships ensures quick fleet deployment with minimal financial strain.Future plans include integrating battery swapping stations and collaborating with local bodies for micro hubs to enhance uptime and profitability. We also aim to utilise fleets for delivery services during non-peak hours, optimising revenue.Deo Rides is not just a transport service but a movement towards cleaner, safer, and more inclusive cities, combining innovation, improvement, and scalability to build a sustainable urban mobility solution for India.
