Diabetes is a silent disease that results in high sugar levels in the blood. If not controlled it can lead to several skin, leg, and mental problems in the short term, and can damage and lead to the failure of vitals organs like the heart, eyes, kidney, and brain in the long run. India happens to be called the capital of Diabetes with 75 Million diagnosed diabetics and another 73 million un- diagnosed as of 2017. This number is estimated to be doubled by 2025. While researching on the system of diabetes in India, We found the insulin is required to be taken by all types of diabetic patients, with about 15-20 million patients in India relying on Insulin. These patients rely on gel packs and ice boxes to keep their medication cool currently, which melt off after a while and have to be frozen again. In a warm country like India with average temperatures at around 30-35 degrees C, we need a better solution to store temperature sensitive medication. Insulin happens to be a temperature sensitive protein that needs to be stored between 2-8 degrees C. If not stored at this temperature the effectiveness of the insulin can degrade drastically. nSulin is a portable cooler for diabetic patients to carry their insulin in whenever they step out of the house, which stores their insulin between 2-8 degrees.
