DgPark Private Limited is a new-age technology venture built around a simple but powerful proposition: every vehicle on an Indian road should be reachable, without any person having to surrender their privacy to make that possible. The company issues a smart QR code decal that is affixed to a vehicle. Any bystander — a neighbour blocked in a parking bay, a traffic warden, a first responder at an accident site — can scan that decal using an ordinary smartphone camera. No application download is required, no registration is needed, and no personal telephone number is ever disclosed to either party. The scan routes through DgPark's servers using number-masking technology and delivers an instant alert to the vehicle owner over SMS and WhatsApp. What begins as a parking convenience becomes, in the correct circumstances, a life-saving instrument. In the event of a road accident the same decal allows a stranger to notify the victim's family within seconds and to view pre-loaded medical information such as blood group, at precisely the moment when that information is most valuable and least available.
